Jollof Cook-Off

Which country has the best Jollof? Is it Ghana? Nigeria? Senegal? Sierra Leone? Gambia? Liberia? Cameroon ? Guinea ? etc. The jollof rivalry between these West African countries is no secret. If you have a West African friend, chances are you have had a jollof dish presented with a hefty serving of trash talk. But is this never-ending culinary war really over taste, or is it sheer display of patriotism and national pride? Let’s determine once again, which country has the best at the DC Afrobeats Block Party and Jolloff cook-off. You can participate and find out for yourself

Get your tickets now. It’s all going down outdoors at the large patio of Karma DC on Saturday, September 25th featuring an incredible lineup of performers.

Grooves in the Garden

We are launching our C2Community Garden as way to get back to our roots in a series called Grooves in the Garden! The C2Community Garden is designed to connect Americans with their West African peers in a shared cultivation experience. Our first American plots are in Bellevue, an historically African American predominant neighborhood in Washington, DC. Volunteer with us and we’ll provide the vibes. This special gathering will include food by Hedzole Afro Eats, music and an introduction to our organization. Join us for this unique community service opportunity.
