Program Overview

Grooves for Growth is an innovative summer enrichment program by Connected to Culture that blends DJing, sound therapy, social-emotional wellness, and urban gardening to inspire confidence, creativity, and community among Ward 8 youth. Through culturally-rooted learning and hands-on exploration, youth will strengthen their emotional resilience, technical skills, and community connections—culminating in a final public showcase.

🎧 DJ Instructors (4 Positions Available)

Rate: $35/hour
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead youth training in DJing, beat-making, and sound engineering

  • Support creative expression and career exploration

  • Mentor students in performance-based learning
