Ages Served: Youth ages 10–17
Program Overview
Grooves for Growth is an innovative summer enrichment program by Connected to Culture that blends DJing, music therapy, social-emotional wellness, and urban gardening to inspire confidence, creativity, and community among Ward 8 youth. Through culturally-rooted learning and hands-on exploration, youth will strengthen their emotional resilience, technical skills, and community connections—culminating in a final public showcase.
💬 Wellness Instructors (3 Positions Available)
Rate: $35
Key Responsibilities:
Curate SEL curriculum and co-facilitate sessions
Provide classroom support (15 hrs/week)
Collaborate with wellness team on showcase
Lead youth in mindfulness, journaling, and emotional wellness
Foster resilience through creative expression
Support showcase prep
